When I entered Real Estate in 1986 it was a different world. Each town had its own Board of Realtors. Many towns still used the old 3-ring binders for property listings, and there was no such thing as buyer representation in the State of Connecticut. At one time I maintained membership on two Boards: Norwalk and Westport/Weston to service those communities. Now our Multiple Listing Service is regionalized and is accessed by computer; we don't even have MLS books any more. Today technology rules, and those unwilling or unable to keep up with it have been left in the dust!
AS A TEACHER TURNED REALTOR, I KNOW HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO BE WELL INFORMED. My Team and I put a lot of time and money into education and technology. We take pride in being knowledgeable and competent. For example, I have taken the Accredited Buyer Representation course and am a ABR member (a designation earned by only 2% of Realtors nationwide). I am also among the 7% of Realtors who have achieved the designation of Certified Residential Specialist. I have attended Howard Brinton's Star Power University courses in Chicago, Denver, and Orlando, and we network monthly with other top agents nationwide to keep abreast of the latest trends and ideas in the industry. You might say we are education junkies. We want to know more. We want to continually improve to better serve our clients.
THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR EXPERIENCE. Since 1986 I have helped lots of folks buy, sell and rent property. I have seen the good times and the bad. I've lived through foreclosure markets, buyers markets, sellers markets, high interest rates, low interest rates, recession and boom the good, the bad and the ugly! And the interesting thing about this business is that just when you think you've seen it all, along comes a situation you've never encountered before. With The Waring Team you benefit from our combined experience not just in real estate, but in business and life, as well. And there is no substitute for experience!
I LOVE MY JOB! I enjoy every facet of the practice of real estate. Whether I'm representing a buyer or a seller, I love solving problems, negotiating issues, helping a client structure financing, discovering how to create a win-win for all parties. I take great satisfaction and joy in a job well done!
WHY A TEAM? Because I can't do it all. I'm good at real estate but paperwork is a trial for me. I would never make a good secretary, bookkeeper or receptionist. So I've got a team of people who are as good at what they do as I am at what I do and T-E-A-M is an acronym for Together Everyone Achieves More! Toni is the anchor in our office, always available to assist our clients when I'm out in the field. Christine comes in one night a week to do the bookkeeping. Together we offer much more to our clients than a single agent could ever possibly give.
